Sheesh.

If you are a PS3 fan, be HAPPY that you are getting cool games this year, multiple of which are already out. There is cool stuff to keep you busy. Be happy with it. Cool exclusives also.

If you are a Sony FANBOY, note these things:
1. Final Fantasy 14 is a Massive Multiplayer Online game. Verses 13 is still your normal JRPG exclusive you are waiting for, and there is no announcements yet for it.
2. The PSP Go is $250 to launch. ACK! Come on, repeat after me, ACK! So, are you going to buy one at that price point? Feels like the PS3 announcement of price, to a lesser extent though. And speaking of the PSP, Sony seems to be a bit distracted trying to get it to hold onto marketshare, competing against Apple and Nintendo in this front.
3. The next said REAL MGS adaption is for the PSP. No mention of Rising, and who knows when that is due out. Kojima is tied up in doing the next Metal Gear that follows what was in MGS3. Looks cool, and fills in the storyline. How many more of these "fill in the past" titles does Kojima have with Snake?
4. No release date for Gran Turismo 5. Since you have Gran Turismo set for the PSP this year, I would say 2010 for GT5.
5. You do have COOL PS3 exclusives, and other multi-console games, coming out this year. Be happy with that.
6. God of War 3 misses the 2009. Pushed back very much like Gran Turismo 5 is set to.
7. No price point or release date set for the PSP motion controls.

All and all, be happy as an owner. As far as system wars go, ask if the PS3 has enough to turn the tide this year. I personally think not enough this year. And who cares who "Won" the press conferences or E3 anyhow. These "win" contests end up being spun by fanboys to their end. Each side can say this and that. What matters is what consumers have to say.

I will be putting other points in another post on how I believe the marketing suits have taken over. WAY too much producing products that respond to exclusives on other consoles.

I'll pay $250 for PSP Go.
