Part of me wants the 360, in fact I nearly went out and bought one the other day, but I remembered the 'RROD' thing and chose to opt out, when I buy something I want the full package not a downfall that I have to live with.

The other part of me wants a PS3, I don't see the price point of the 40 Gig model out of my willing to spend budget, however without PS2 support I am feeling I am once again not getting the full package, fair enough I have a PS2 Slimline with a Attached flip up LCD that I will never get rid of, but I still like the idea that if it ever broke down or I did eventually sell it or whatever I can still play PS2 games on my PS3, it would also be nice to put the PS2 away and make room for the big chunky new-comer.

I have a Wii, but it is not satisfying my HD quench for my 42" Plasma, plus I would like to not have to 'waggle' once in awhile, I do love the Wii and the fun it has brought to me and many of my friends, however I would like to play some of the mega titles coming out or already out on the 360 or PS3.

If you are a Wii only owner, what would you get out of the two?

And do you share my thoughts?

It really comes down to the types of games you want to play. What are your favorite types of games? I chose the 360 this past May because there were games on it now and games coming in the near future that I wanted to play. The games I'm interested in on the PS3 aren't coming out until next spring. I'm primarily interested in KZ2, and LBP. Tell us what kind of games you want to play and it will help...

As far as RROD, if you get one of the newer units that is labeled with an HDMI port, you are getting the latest hardware and I doubt you'll RRoD on one of those. That will also give you the best picture on your 42"...

I would also add this little bit of food for thought.  I'm a cheap ass when it comes to buying games.  I HATE paying 60 bucks for a new title.  I look for used or stuff that has been out long enough to be marked down.  Since the 360 has been out a lot longer there are a lot more budget games.  There are literally dozens of games that are 20-25 bucks used and new at gamestop plus any of the backward compatible games from the original xbox.  Halo 1 and 2 are a must, of course....

I hate trolls.
