I think its just the opposite ,most people that can afford the Wii can afford it right now so its demand is about as good as it will get .Some killer games (that I doubt it will have ,at least in comparision with the others ) can help for sure but not a lot of people are holding down for the machine to drop its price ...a price drop from 250 to 200 or 150 is not that important .

At the same time the PS3 is expensive but can reduce costs fast (Sony being the manufacturer of many components and closing deals of production with others enterprises as the recent ones ) and if and when it drops the price significantly it will attract a lot of gamers that right now are playing the waiting game .Besides shops have a minimum retail price beyond what its not profitable to stock the machines ,I would say thats 79 for hanhelds and 99 for home consoles .PS3 has a lot more margin to drop the price that Wii .Couple that with killer games ,Home and the assumption by the gamers community that the free online saves money and the PS3 can return in force (not that it is doing badly right now ) again .

you have no idea how absolutely wrong you are =)

No ,nor do you .In fact I think I am pretty right ,the PS3 right now only appelas to certain demographics ,the Wii to much more .The succesive price drops may open the Wii some reducts but will win the PS3 the entry into the mass market the Wii is already into ,and once that is managed with its far superior hardware ,peripherics ,software (system sellers for hardcore and for casuals through the Eye Toy ,Dance Dance Rev ,Singstar ,Buzz ! ,kiddie games ,Platinum Range ) and the marketing of Sony behind sales will improve and it has a lot more of room for it .
