Yes, Sony doesn't deserve respect , let's overlook the fact that they've massivley contributed to modern console gaming ( more so than Microsoft certainly ) more so than the vast majority of gaming comapnies , let's ignore the success of the PS1 , PS2, PSP , PS3 (at least marketshare wise) and the wealth and diversity of 1st ,2nd ,3rd party support Sony has brought onto it's gaming platoforms.
The playstation brand is synonymous with gaming and Kojima does respect that , it's just that everyone respects money more.

Not really, all they did was sit back with a popular console and let third parties do all the work. If they deserved any of the praise that was given to them they wouldn't have screwed up so bad with the PS3. So yes, lets ignore the market share because the fact that they got screwed so badly by the Wii and Xbox 360 is proof that they just got in on name recognition with the PS2.

LOL come on that's BS and you know it , all they did was sit back ? surely by that reasoning any business of any size is capable of achieving Sony's legacy . And as for the PS2 suceeding purely because of the PS1 you do realise again that's a whole lot of BS right ?
