He has been faithful to Sony for so many years with numerous games predominately appearing on all iterations of the Sony home console, yet he has decided to announce a new MGS game at the Microsoft Conference for the XBox360. It doesn't matter even if the game is multiplatform and is announced for the PS3 a day later; the point of the matter is that he has announced this game worldwide at a Microsoft event rather than a Sony event. I would view this similar to Epic announcing a new Gears of War game at a Sony event first and foremsot, even if the game is announced a day later at a Microsoft event. This is big/huge news for Microsoft and IMHO shows either a lack of thought (unless he's been financially sweetened) or just plain lack of respect. Unless a full blown sequel to MGS4 is announced today for the PS3, then we certainly have seen the days of any one 3rd party developer of Sony games showing exclusivity to the Sony brand. Well down Microsoft, you have effectively bought your way into Sony's exclusives, which now weakens what Sony is all about. |
Why shooting Kojima ?
Sony is the one who showed lack of respects for the gamers... and Microsoft did well this generation.
Besides, Kojima won't abandon his fanbase for sure.
Epic could also present a game for the Playstation. Why not ?
Anyhow, it is only a problem in fanboy's mind...
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
