i really think it's pre mgs 4 concidering the ending.

Evaluate please. I remember Raiden meeting his son and Rose, but what does that mean for MGR?

Well i wanted to keep the spoilers out but.

 

If you remember how he looks on that pic and in most of the game.. hes "robot'ish" but in the end when hes been through hell and back, he gets "Humanised" again. In other words, the jaw for instance is something he shouldn't regain after mgs4 as it seems it was something he picked up previously after loosing his original or whatever. :p

 

Raiden is a bit of a cyborg lol.
