thats my biggest problem with it.  I understand being competitive and all and wanting to see ones favorite system succeed but its at the point now where if you post a thread on any particular game your looking foreward to there are 5 people that come in just to complain/diss it to every 1 person who just wants to have a legitimate conversation.  Its come to the point now where I barely even want to make threads or post about a topic I enjoy because I know it will only get derailed and turn into a console wars argument within mere moments.  The word you used is perfect...tiresome.
