Have you ever seen a football game??? If you think you can declare a winner because one team is ahead in the FIRST QUARTER, you got alot to learn. The console war has barely begun. And remember that when the PS2 launched, the Dreamcast had a headstart and everyone thought the PS2 was too late. Do I have to remind you how that turned out?? |
When the PS2 launched on March of 2000, the Dreamcast sold about 4m units. That's less than half what 360 had when PS3 and Wii launched. If it were the same Wii would have caught the 360 by February.
It is no where near the same thing. The PS2 was always gaining on the Dreamcast, the PS3 has never gained on the Wii. You can't count the European launch. That gain lasted one week.
In less than one year the PS2 caught the Dreamcast and by the next march had outslold it by atleast 2m. Again, no where near the same thing as this gen.
You are right that this console war is far from over, but all signs point to a clear Wii dominance and a close 2nd race. Personally, I think PS3 will take that, but will still be a good 40m - 50m behind Wii.
