The "franchise" seems to mean more than one game, but it could just be a generalized term, meaning nothing. The only reason I ask is because after the show, Adam Sessler said(and I paraphrase), "I thought MS might just get MGS4, but the whole franchise, that's huge" or something along those lines. That confused me. Is Kojima bringing the "from now on" entire MGS franchise to the 360 as Sessler seemed to think, or is it just this one game? One thing that has confused me about this issue is that a lot of people love MGS more than any other franchise, but now, since the game is on the 360, it is just a spinoff. I think that if the game had been announced during the Sony presser, it would be much more highly touted. Is this an example of a double standard, because the game is on the 360? I mean, we don't even know anything about the game yet, but it is being marginalized. Is it because it is on the 360? Do we still consider MGS a Sony franchise, or is it completely up for grabs now? |
I also thought it was a little wierd the way Adam Sessler said that. I think they are just getting this game at the moment and probably future titles.
Not past titles.
