i dont think it has to do with satisfying their customers. they get these games in order to make people want an xbox 360 vs a ps3. if xbox gets games that were formerly exclusive then why would any1 want a ps3? its all about helping them come in 2nd and trying to destroy the playstation brand, IMO.

You are indeed correct.  Nobody in his right mind would attribute Microsoft's desire for customer satisfaction to pure altruism.  At the same time, I hope that reasonable people don't begrudge any company's desire to improve upon its brand.

In any case, the end result of Microsoft's ambitions is satisfied customers, which--speaking as a customer--I certainly don't begrudge.
