the only thing that I can see it being really cool to use for is, well, for the GUI on the 360, move your hand with a pointer tracker like a mouse and voice activate commands. very intuitive for the menus, but for games, would be some hard design choices for sure, it's not exactly a new concept no matter how good the tech is, my hype lvl for this thing is just wayyyyy too low. |
You don't have much of an imagination for being dahuman. I can imagine all sorts of applications especially non-gaming. This device could be used for a variety of applications from practicing a virtual instruments to excercise. Very general I know, but the real ramifications are how this evolves gaming controls as a whole. If you are ready for virtual 3d imersive games then get ready, because I believe that this is the first step to reaching that goal. Can you name one device that actually reacts in real time to the 3d movements of your entire body? I don't know about you guys, but if you want to play with a controller in your hand the rest of your life then have at it, but i could not welcome 3d virtual gaming fast enough. This looks like the first big step in that direction, and regardless of what console/s you own you should embrace this technology and get ready for the future.
