Super powered PC.............. £2000 (with upgrades constantly needed)
VS
Super powered 360.......... £129
If i can get almost everything i can on a PC for a fraction of the price, i'm gonna take the cheaper option...... More value for money. |
Almost no one buys £2000 PCs. Nowadays a £400 can do a much better job at running games than any console. PC prices have decreased dramatically in the last few years. Hell, you can now build a PC that plays games better cheaper than a PS3.
Many people consider now that PC gaming is cheaper than Console gaming due to the cheaper prices of games, which are often $10-$20 less than the console versions. You also don't need to play $50 every year just to play online.

True, PC's can be bought cheap but ultimately cost money to maintain.
But i picked up Stranglehold for £5 and NBA 2K7 for £4 today.
Add to that the £6 i paid for crackdown and the £6 for condemned and 360 gaming really is at your disposal for a more than reasonable price. Sure, XBL cost's £29.99 (shop around) but the console is £159 if you wanna go live, if i pay for XBL for the next 5 years then it still only totals £309 and i never need to worry about upgrade costs.
I apprediate PC gaming and it offers a truly unique experience, but i personally prefer just switching on my 360 and getting in to the online action in an instant.

I bought Bioshock for $5 last year, both Max Payne games for only $7.50, Half-Life 1 and it's expansions for only $1 each, World of Goo like $4 just months after it was released, etc... all brand new copies.
And I could've bought much more. That's the greatness of PC gaming, there's so many awesome deals that you don't know where to begin with. Especially nowadays that all major Digital Distribution Services make several deals every week, and you can find dozens of great deals just a few clicks away.
Don't kid yourself, PC gaming is cheaper than HD console gaming.
