Like I said in another thread, some people just can't be pleased. You have the option of a cheaper ps3 with no BC, or a more expensive ps3 with BC. Either option is cheaper than the ps3 cost a week ago (in the EU). Would you rather them have kept the price at 425 GBP?
Even in the US, the 80gb model with BC will still be available, with a game packaged in, and it will most likely by $499 once the 60gbs run out.
Don't complain about the 40gb model, because it's not the only option! If you'd prefer BC over a lower price, then get an 80gb. That's why it's there!
