I disagree, I think Nintendo saw that PCs can now easily be played comfortably from a couch (HTPCs) and so took another step on the "what PCs can't do/don't do" ladder i.e. stand up and move around. Motion can be done on a PC today with a wiimote but no PC dev would ever have the balls to take such a risk. (I'm not saying Nintendo went motion because PCs wouldn't do it but another tick in the "I'm not a PC" box is what Nintendo were aiming for.)
As different as PC/Wii are, I still think Nintendo is subtly going after PC pros with a Nintendo twist.
Mouse/wiimote (more intuitive and doesn't need a surface, allows RTS)
WiiWare/Indy games (sales limit cuts out the crap, game size limit is a good idea too)
Emulation/VC (more stable and clearly shows that Nintendo dumped the hardcorz for the casuals)
all talk voicechat/friends only chat (no noob insults, swearing or pedos and grooming)
Browser, flash/web games, Youtube, weather/News. All of these are just another reason not to turn on your PC.
Even if you didn't purchase a single Wii retail game release, you would still have access to the biggest gaming library any console has ever had. That's a true console.
