I have a question for grandmaster192. If Nintendo Wii does not have great games then why is it that their games receive excellent reviews? Such as Zelda TP, Metroid Prime 3, Paper Mario. And i just named a few 1st party games. The hype that the Wii has is pure genius. Its all word of mouth and of course some commercials. Nintendo Wii games happen to attract a broader market. For example, Wii offers first person games (MP), adventure (Zelda), Sports games, educated games (Brain Training). Furthermore, you cannot forget the fact that Microsoft invest a lot more money in their adds. For instance look at Halo 3. That game was constantly hyped. I would see Halo adds on Mountain Dew bottles, commercials, front page of yahoo, toys, and even snacks. Also Gears of War. For the love of God that game was advertised on major networks such as ABC and NBC during popular shows, and if you want to add some BS saying Nintendo does the same thing they don’t, because they simply cant afford that kind of marketing. Instead Nintendo their console on less watched net works such as the CW, MTV, cartoon network, and once in a while NBC but during a show that doesn’t have high ratings. Bottom line the hype is their for a reason, and Nintendo doesn’t spend a fourth of what Microsoft does. So don’t a baby and cry about hype, because Microsoft has all the money in the world it’s just that their strategy isn’t as good as Sony’s (before PS3 of course), and Nintendo. One more thing I have never seen a commercial of Zelda TP on TV, and it has sold 2 million copies already. Thanks for reading, and I don’t me to sound like a bitch.
