I have a 360 and a PS3, I have Uncharted, MGS4, KILLZONE 2 and Forbidden Siren to the PS3. I have lot's of games to the 360. I use the 360 more mostly because of the online service, LIVE.
Recently I bought KILLZONE 2 to play and test it, I wanted to see for myself, and yes, the graphics are great, the campaign is good, the online options are good, everything seems good, but.....
But it's just not as fun, as challenging, as heart pounding and adrenaline rushing as Gears of War 2. Gears it's the best MP game out there, even with the lag problems.
Nice game anyways. This is my opinion and does not reflect the opinion of SONY, MICROSOFT or anyone else.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer is gona poop all over GoW2's.

Gears 2 and Uncharted 2 are totally different games. Gears 2 is brutally disgusting game with better weaponry and finishers, while Uncharted is a great game with nice cover and interaction with the level itself.

Both are 3rd person shooters and have online multiplayer, so they certainly aren't "totally" different, they just arent the exact same. With that said, Uncharted 2 is going to own the 3rd person shooter, hectic bullets flying everywhere genre.

I never played either Uncharted, nor GeoW I and II, but isn't GeoW a standard cover system shooter, whereas Uncharted 2 also emphasizes platforming and stealth?

Yes, but Uncharted also has you shooting a gun in the 3rd person a whole hell of a lot too. There are other elements to the gameplay that make the game great, but one of its core features as a game is its a 3rd person shooting game.

The only game close enough to Gears 2 is Killswitch...sorry.

From what I've seen of the game, Uncharted does everything Gears does, except for the exploding headshots, but adds incredible platforming elements. Uncharted 2 seems like a mix of Gears 2 & Assassin's Creed. Killswitch had cover, that's the only similarity I see between the two. That's like saying Wanted comes close to Gears 2, and we both know that's not true.
PS: Is debating like this better than becoming furious and ignoring you? By the way, I only get furious when I see fanboys(on anyside), though I end up having to defend the PS3 more than the 360. It just gets attacked way too much!!
