Not only were these frustrating because you couldn't always see them until you're getting shot by five of them, but they were extremely tough. I could hit these things with 3 straight on brute shots and they would still be alive." That was the most brilliant creature in H3. If you stopped to pay attention for a minute, you would realize that those creatures slowly evolve and are actually quite weak in the beginning. Over time, they mutate four times and turn into a freakin' tank that will jack your shit up in about two seconds. It completely changed my gameplay. On higher difficulty levels, you HAD to make sure you took those things out immediately or you would almost surely die. Genius, purely genius. While I agree with some of the complaints about Halo, I find it funny that some things people bitch about happen because they either suck at the game or just aren't paying attention. No offense to you, Twesterm, your review is quite accurate (this last comment was mainly geared at Chronotrigger). |
I actually saw that those creatures continually mutated which I did think was pretty cool but that still doesn't mean I liked it. When there a large amount of them you just can't help but let them mutate because their lesser forms are generally too quick and there's just too many of them. I actually preferred their brute form because I could actually run from those if I needed to and even melee them fairly easily. I just hated the spike form because they were so tough (there's a reason snipers don't have a lot of health in games) and there were just so many of them.
-edit-
and definately no offense disagreeing with me, like I said, I post these to have more interesting topics that banning topics or whatever is the hot troll topic of the day.
