I only own the Wii so I am not going to give some biased opinion against it, but this si a pretty ridiculous article. The reasons why the Wii is selling so well is because it started out cheaper (the others are catching up), they are targeting non-traditional gamers (women and older adults), and above all it has an extremely innovative control scheme. It is not because it is a "real" console.
For the record, a console hooks up to the TV, is played with a controller (which has a few buttons and joystick/numpad for control), and can be played from the couch. You are simply trying to redefine the "console" in a way that excludes Sony and the 360 while including the Wii. Real crafty, maybe you should be a politician.
