Not to defend pirates, but EA has a tendency to milk the living fuck out of games.
Some of the Sims 2 expansions don't add a hell of alot to the game, but are still $20 full expansions.
In order to get the Sims 2 with all of the expansions, you will spend about 200 or so dollars.
That's a bit over the top imho.
