No its not, its a family console.
Most of the people i know bought it for family bonding and/or exercise, those are the reasons my mom wants it, among many others.
Therefore i don't see it as a console, more like a digital family board game with fitness in mind.
PS3 and X360 are for gamers, so as the PSP and DS. The wii imo is nintendos best/worst console for obvious reasons. trade in gimicks of cash for hardcore games, you can't have both.
