Words cannot describe how badly you have just failed. I didn't mention online at all in my original post. If you are referring too my agreement with the OP and assuming I was agreeing with his online points, all he said was "the online options were good." It has a worse single player than either Gears game. The story is not as good (though the first Gears story isn't great either) and you never care (and often dont remember the names of) about the characters. In addition to this, Killzone 2 has no local co-op of any kind, something that has become a staple of shooters. It's funny you should mention Fable 2, as it DOES have local co-op. It's really quit simple. Once you get past the very impressive graphics, Killzone 2 has a good, but not great, single player campaign. |
You said that you were making your judgement based on two things.
Local Co-op and Singleplayer right ?
Well killzone 2 doesn't have local co-op
So it is LIKE saying fable sucks because it doesn't have multiplayer. Regular multiplayer. So what if it has local co-op. That's irrelevent because since it doesn't have multiplayer, i'll judge it on that. Atleast that is the reasoning that you are using.
Can we fault multiplayer games for lacking all the clan features killzone 2 has ? no because they aren't part of the games.
Does half life 2 has local co-op ?
Infact most shooters don't have. It's something that's become popular on consoles over the last year or two yeah, but you can't judge a game on something it doesn't have. Even if it's something that You personally feel is a "Stable" for the genre.
You can't just say "because i like this it should be in all games muwahahaha !"
Well you can but that doesn't make it true :p
Killzone 2 doesn't tell much of it's story but it is brilliantly executed. Sure they could have done a lot more with it (explaining the backstory) and theres 1 pretty big plothole, but the overall immersion and execution of the singleplayer is extremely well put together.
