BC is big for me too. Although I wish I didn't have to pay extra for it. Even if I have a PS2, I would keep that in the bedroom, and have the PS3 in the game room. I still would like to play my Final Fantasy titles in the game room.
Either way, we shouldn't say "BC matters to the consumer" or "BC doesn't matter to the consumer". In the end, it's all based on the preference of the buyer and not just us in the forum. So we really shouldn't argue about it since Sony is giving the consumer the choice to choose which model.
