Judging from the Multiplayer video I saw on Spike yesterday, the answer to the topic question would be
"well, wouldn't it have to at least start to look as good as Gears 1 multiplayer? Looks like Lost Planet 1."
Uncharted is fantastic, but the multiplayer for U2 looks mediocre at best.
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
