Get on anandtech.com forum and they will help you. If you are too lazy, I'll give you the short version.
CPU: Go for the Phenom II 900 series.
GPU: 4870 because 4850 is going to be out of date since it uses GDDR3
Motherboard: $100 of any kind without integrated videocard is good
PS: 650W to 750W
Case: All aluminum
RAM: DDR2 800
Rest of money: Buy a PS3 too.
