I don't see why they would. If the game is good then Microsoft would advertise the game as if it were their own exclusive, but I don't see Sony doing the same as they have a greater incentive to advertise their own games more than a 3rd party exclusive. So therefore Epic would be better off making the game multi-plat or Microsoft exclusive especially as the latter doesn't stop them from a PC release as well.
