Mainly the crazy things people do in survival. Survival players find a ton of bugs and glitches that you don't see people doing on other modes. Ever been on top of the shelter next to the boathouse? If you push the picnic tables over next to the rocks, get 'em to the right angle, and jump then crouch, you can climb atop the shelter and the zombies end up moonwalking in an attempt to find you.
In nearly every stage, there are glitches that people have found that allow them to do all sorts of funny things. Have you ever seen a Tank just die out of nowhere, because it can't find the survivors?
Point is, none of these glitches popped up before Survival was integrated, even though they WERE possible. That's supporting point #1.
Number two = that a large number of people had lost interest in the game prior to survival's inclusion. Since that mode has been added, though, armies of players have re-entered the game. I used to play online and see the same people in game after game after game. Now I seldom do.
And three, if I go to survival, that aforementioned issue is least common. I can start new game after new game every five minutes and not see the same players twice for quite some time. I haven't been able to do that in versus or campaign (although versus DOES take exceptionally longer than campaign... I've almost given up on campaign online because I keep getting piss-poor players that nobody wants to play with, but they keep ending up in your games).
