It doesn't just have four levels though. It has four campaigns with five levels each, then a fifth campaign with one level.

21 total "levels".

The Last Stand isn't playable in campaign/versus, only survival. The regular game (and versus) has 4 campagins, consisting of five stages each so there's 20 "levels" right now.

@LordMatrix: I wish people understood that less is more with many aspects of this game. More campaigns would be excellent, but overcomplicating the core game with more features, guns, modes or whatever won't make it more fun.

I think you are wrong. More levels would only be a good thing. Along side a few new weapons wouldn't hurt either.

And by levels i mean "stories" or whatever. Thers 4 levels not 20. In my opinion. The fact that it loads just means it loads a new segment of the level. Even if the levels are split up in multiple files, it's still a part of the same level.

And again.. less is not better.. less is almost never better. lol..

By your (incredibly flawed) logic, then, 99% of games out there have 1 "level" because they concentrate on one single "story", one single "campaign".

Therefore, by your logic, you wouldn't like ANY games out there except fighters, since those are the ONLY genre of game that concentrate on more stories than that. And everybody knows fighters tend to have bad stories, at that. What, the fate of the world rests in a freaking fighting tournament? Right.

@Ameratsu - I'm entirely aware of the setup of Left 4 Dead. I have both the 360 and PC versions (had the 360 version since release, got PC last week). I've played quite a bit of L4D. The Last Stand is, yes, survival-only, but that doesn't mean it's not still a campaign of its own, especially since there's no saying Valve won't add more levels to that campaign. Actually, I fully expect that they will. The Lighthouse is still a stage no matter how you look at it. The "regular game" doesn't exist, since 90% of players concentrate on survival mode now. One could easily argue that is the regular game - after all, that's what you'll most likely regularly play.

erm. Not only does it take less than 4 hours to go through all the "levels" in total of the game (which is not the case for those 99 percent of other games.) It's also the exact same "levels" in singleplayer multiplay and co-op.

Not only that, when they do load, what you refere to as a "level" it's simply a continuation of the previous level. AKA it's a new map but within the same level. Voila. Also tekkens story is insanely more deep than left 4 deads thank you.

(1) It only takes less than 4 hours to play through all four campaigns... if you're playing on a noob difficulty. Try it out on hard or expert. You'll take a hell of a lot more time, like you're supposed to.

(2) EVERY game's "next level" is a continuation from the previous! That's why it's the NEXT LEVEL. Because it comes NEXT, after what came BEFORE. It CONTINUES the story. It's not like they're not all different, seriously. Death Toll, for instance. First stage is along a toll road. Second stage is in a train yard. Drawing a blank on the third and fourth, but the fifth is at a boathouse on the ocean shore. Pretty sure that makes for different levels.

(3) Tekken's story may be more deep, but it's also much more complete nonsense. And that's my point about mentioning Tekken - fighting games have bad stories. Doesn't matter how deep they are; they're always bad. Don't get me wrong - fighters are one of my favourite genres, as should be evidenced by them making up the largest percentage of my game catalogue. I have every Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Smash Bros, and Street Fighter (save for 4, which I plan to get ASAP) game in my possession, in some way. And every single one has a bad story (although Street Fighter's is by and far the best).

lol 1. Regardless of what you're supposed to. I played it on hard and it took less than 4 hours. .. And you aren't "supposed" to play on any difficulty. Just because i play uncharted on easy doesn't make it last 4 hours, half life 2 doesn't last 4 hours, and all games doesn't last 4 hours.

The fact is that it's the same 4 hours of content that's used for both multiplayer, singleplayer and co-op.

The same 4 levels which each has 5 maps.

Also it's not a level it's a map. That's why i added " before and after level. Thers a difference between completing your objectives and just reaching a checkpoint.

And you do reach different areas troughout a level sure, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a continuation from your checkpoint and not a new level.

on fighters stories Tekken > what you mentioned combined.

Tekken doesn't only have a deep story, it's a story that evolve progresses and each char develops too along this story. If you knew it properly you .. quite probably wouldn't concider it nonesense. It's a great story that easily measures with the best of animes. You may think animes have nonesense stories but i'll tell you that plenty of people like them.

Not only that, it offers a lot more than the other games with it's ekstra games such as "tekken bowling, volleyball, tekken force, devil within" and various other "mini" games that's been in the series throughout.

@Garnett. No. They are short because the source engine doesn't like too big maps, and it's a good checkpoint break. It makes no sense for anyone to stop playing until they've completed the 5 maps, or the level. Infact if you do, you're being an asshole to the other players.

Thers no point in this argument really because we wont agree on the subject, you may think i'm wrong and i most certainly think you're wrong. But that's just how it is.

Afterall that's the foundation of most things. Opinions.

All i really said was that i thought it needed more levels and you all started flaming me. How can that be ? If i feel that the game needs more levels to warrent my purchase isn't my opinion valid ? isn't it okay that someone can have a difference that differs from yours ? because certainly you make it seem like someone cannot. Atleast not without getting attacked for it and "corrected" based on your own personal opinion.
