You're trying to prove to me that it costs more money, so you do the research, that's how it works.
No, PC means Personal Computer. That's what a console is - it's a personal computer. Do you think that running a service for a console requires different technology to running a service for PC? It doesn't, I'm afraid.
Hell, I'm willing to wager dollars to doughnuts that the GFWL and XBL runs off of the same servers.
