Firstly, they are useful features do not get me wrong about these facts. They allow extra additions to be made that couldn't before in the past and provide convenience, however, companies are being waay to lazy.

In the past, video game companies were known for well rounded and polished games within a short amount of space. The fact that they couldn't fix the games with patches put pressure on them to make games that were completely finished. I know people are so eager to get their hands on the games and are willing to accept patches but the time spent on these patches and other features are equivalent to the twice the time of production of a full game 10 years ago.

DLC is the more humourous one. I laugh at the way people complain that a game has to few maps like in Gears of War 3,Halo 3,Killzone 2 at the beginning because the developers know they put too few maps; thats where DLC comes in. You already pay $60 nowadays but now were paying extra for new maps and game modes that should already be in the game because the developers want to make an extra buck. If you think about it, most FPS that we buy now are made with less than 10 maps.

People just don't realize that these companies do not care about you guys. Some game developers rush the game in for holidays when its still not finnish and then fix the game problems later with patches and update when they should be finishing the game before they release it.Also, this is to the people that think that they are being rewarded by developers with DLC when in fact your being ripped off spending more than $75.To me, its like a giant middle finger in my face whenever I here the game developers talking about DLC or patches even before the game is released.Besides ripping us off,not all gamers have internet game or necessarily go on the internet to download patches to correct the game.So we consumers are facing alot of problems because of it and thats why i don't like them so much.
