I've been working at a bar for a while now... and it always amaze me how people come to drink spend a tone of money on beer and liquor and are too cheap to pay 3 bucks to get in the nights we do have a live band playing.... it's less than 2/3 of a guinness god damn it.... the price of XBL is what 50 bucks a year or something.... ??? it's a what 2 bottle of coke at the gas station per month... if everybody had principles strong enough to refuse to do something that insignifiant just to stand by there opinion the world would know peace and unconditional universal love trust me.... conclusion it's just retarded stuborness, you guys are fools

It'd be insane for someone to pay that fee if they are content with an alternative service. Saying that someone is being stubborn, greedy and that you feel sorry for them simply because you don't see eye to eye with them makes you think you are quite the condescending fellow.

I have a PS3, PC and XBox 360. Never have I had to pay to play online during all my years as a PC gamer. I'm quite sure we quite sure you'd agree that, at the very least, PC has optimal online services? So why pay money if your needs are already being met? Does it make you a sad person? A greedy person?

Secondly, just because anyone could easily find $50 a year does not make it necessarily a sound choice to purchase this for the individual.

As to your bar example: The people who refuse to go to your bar on nights there are covers obviously are not so devoted to your bar that they're willing to spend extra money to experience something they're not interested in. They could easily walk across the street and have their usual night out, basically having the same experience, without wasting any money.

How is that cheap!? Unless they are totally inconvienencing themselves by having to go a relatively far distance to another bar, I'd say it's the logical any non-wasteful person would do.

Anyhow, in short, if you don't see a value in something, regardless of cost, it's not cheap to refuse to pay for it.

Let's see....$4.17 a month players to keep a secure bandwith which adds no extra charge to companies with online games and has indie games on it free of bandwith cost

VS

Free online with no secure bandwith,Cost companies with online games to maintain their MP features and chrages inde game makers to have Games and Demo's on it....
