At this point, FFXI is probably almost pure profit for SE. Servers have been around long enough, I imagine they're pretty stable, and don't need a ton of maintainance. I doubt development costs are too high, either.
After getting bored with WoW (read: got tired of being the raid leader/main tank for 24 retards) a few months back, I picked up the 360 version a week or two ago. My char is only level 9, but the game seems nifty. I'll never get into it like WoW, but it might be a good diversion every once in a while.
