That's funny because my DVD's look perfectly fine on my 40" Sony Bravia from less than 6' and more than 6'. Who knew.
Also, normal TV's will in fact be on sale through 08 and saying otherwise is pretty silly. Seeing a non-HD TV is the real high traffic areas is going to be very rare, true, but in the next aisle over there are still going to be a lot of standard TV's that will sell because they are in fact much cheaper.
Also, it's generally just best to ignore everything Pachter says. Everything now and then he gets lucky or picks the easy guesses but in general he's a flaming idiot.
