In 1965?  I wouldn't call that insane.  It's actually par for the times.

As I recall we had a plan to bomb every major russian city and most chinese ones around that time... that Kennedy and many other presidents almost went through on. 

It's a good example why NK should be stopped.  I mean think what two countries that had everything to lose almost resorted to.

Well, okay, I guess that makes sense. But it's still insane.
