- Every game has a drought over the summer, the strength of MGS 4 is shown by the massive spike in hardware - Okay, I'm above 14, I want Kingdom Hearts. Plenty of people want KH because it is great fun to play. If they are all Nintendo fans, how come it did so well on PlayStation? - Nintendo does not own Japan, the PS3 has been doing reasonably well recently, and with Final Fantasy games coming and Gran Turismo, it is going to have a sizable user base by the time KH comes around - We are not really in the 4th year, I have had my PS3 for 2 years and 2 months, and I bought it at launch. Things do change, the price cut can change things, they are not set in stone. The PS3 costs like twice as much as its competition, so when it is more reasonably priced, it will be more interesting - Loyalty, well there is not that much here, but there are still people sitting at homes with their PS2s, and when they decided to upgrade, it will probably be to PS3, but that is not a major factor - Of course a console can change directions, to think otherwise is ludicrous |
You clearly have been swallowing to much Sony bullshit. Don't swallow, spit!
- I never said the game didn't sell consoles. My point was that it profited at least a bit form the drought. No way to say how much. Didn't i wrote that too? These things are happening with other games on other consoles too. Any console!
- This gen. Nintendo stole these people back form Sony. Isn't that obvious? Like the playstation stole them from Nintendo after the snes. Duh! Why is every HD fanboys mockingly calling it a kiddy-console? Would i find the same comments in your previous posts?
- Nintendo owns japan with a difference of 5 million sales over the PS3. If that isn't owning, what is? If the wii stopped selling now, the PS3 still couldn't catch up. Not to mention the fact it carries the cheapest development costs. Nintendo owns Japan! Wake up.
- The current generation began when the first console launched. Who gives a crap when the PS3 launched? That has nothing to do with the beginning of the current generation. And your bragging about the high price of the PS3. Why? It's the reason it's losing. Sony is in serious financial troubles. It's highly unlikely they can afford one, let alone how much you think. Even if they could, would they not chose profability, like any company in thier position?
- Those 'loyal' PS2 owners already bought in too a console. Most likely the wii first and then the x-box. What makes you think these people are sitting at home waiting for a price drop? Come on. Mainstream People don't care for the PS3 like they didn't care for the GC last gen. Deal with it.
- It takes 2-3 year to make other games and as long for new hardware. Anything what isn't on the horizon now, isn't coming before the next generation. To win the casuals you need the games they like. The PS3 has barely 3 of them. Count the ones on the wii. Nintendo has the games and marketing to consume the compleet casual audience which is still left. Microsoft and Sony are powerless. They failed to act earlier and now it's to late.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
