It's pretty clear that the majority of potential Kh buyers are on other platforms, mainly the wii. Do you really dispute that? Come on. Didn't MG4 sell that much because there were few games around on the PS3? That factor you seem to forget.

What does it matter that Disney pushes the BLu-Ray? For Disney sake, KH3 has to sell as many copies as possible and spread the Disney brand. The importance of Blu-Ray is smaller than selling massive Disney brands. That's Disney's core business.

Are you seriously doing that! It was released in the summer, when no games are released, because they don't really sell. MGS 4 sold because it is a massive franchise. Many people bought the console just for the game, the sales spike shows what an effect it had

You don't know the precise demographic of Kingdom Hearts, nor do we, but as I have said before, it shares a user base with FF, and the situation a year from now could be very different

Touchy feelings there about MGS4. Relax. I responded to Tedsteriscool that a factor in the increased sales of MG4 was a certain games drought. Which was a factor. How big, who knows? It's a great game but you can't deny that factor in with it's sales.

KH is a Disney franchise. Disney audience = KH franchise. Disney caters to kids. They always have. If KH doesn't fit with Disney demographics then why is it a Disney franchise? We knows the demographics of Kh because it is a Disney franchise.

What exactly will change in a year? The generation and demographics are set in stone. The PS3 can't attract the casuals, that's why it's losing in the first place. The wii is catching more an more steam. And the x-box is still 8 million above the PS3 sales and the difference seems to be growing.

Well you are talking rubbish, it is the summer, no consoles have any games launching then

Okay, you do realise that people don't just say, this is a Disney game, I don't fit into their demographics, so I won't buy the game. It is an RPG, RPG is not a franchise just for small children? In JP, KH sold about 1.24m copies, now is Disney a massive factor in JP? It is a Square Enix made game, with Disney characters in there

Of course the generation and demographics of the console are not set in stone, that is just a stupid thing to say. PS2 started with just hardcores, before the casuals came. M$ and Sony are both moving to appeal to the casual audience, that is the point of the Xbox 360 arcade, your in the moves.... bla bla bla, and though You're in the Movies did not do that well, nor did Lips, the demographics are chaining, the Xbox is no longer the shooterbox. Sony is changing too, at last year's Leipzig conference, Sony annoucned EyePet, and showed off more Singstar, these games are very clearly casual games. A lower price is obviously going to entice more casual gamers. The Wii did not really found casual gaming, PlayStation did with games like Buzz, Eye Toy and Singstar. There is probably some sort of loyalty there, and as you go through the generation, the demographics of a console will vary more, and the casual demographic is likely to become more prevelant through this generation. It is not set in stone

- How many games were there on the PS3 before or after the summer? All consoles have a similar 'drought' effect sooner or later.

- Kh isn't some hardcore grind rpg. It revolves around a keyblade, a sword/key. How many above 14 will want that? And those who do will most likely be Nintendo fans, since their style is similar.

- Nintendo owns Japan with the wii. Forgot that? So what does it matter?

- The PS2 launched first and went after casuals from the beginning. The frst one did the same. It began the freaking casual movement.

- We're now 4 year in the current generation. X-box launched first and timed the current one. Anything can happen in the first year of a console's launch. But when you see no movement in the sales some 3 year later, then the PS3 is going anywhere. If it could manage more, it would right now. No next year, this year or the year before. It's not changing. You're hoping for a miracle which isn't coming.

- Loyalty from the casuals to the PS brand? Don't make me laugh! If they had any, really any, loyalty feelings towards consoles then why is the PS3 in the third place? Casuals are like insects attracted by shiny things.

- The wii expanded the casual movement first engaged by the playstation. The PS3 has anything to do with that casual move anymore, nor can it really change it's direction. BLu-Ray sunk it. The x-box has some more chance but Nintendo's marketing claim is too strong.
