Why?

money.  Pure and simple, it just isn't in the household budget.   and its not really the cost of the console itself, as much as it is the cost of the games to build up a decent library to warrant the expense of each console you choose.  Then add on extra controllers/peripherals and or online costs and you are racking up a bunch of expenses.

 

So, unfortunately...choosing one is the answer and hoping that it gets supported well enough that there's a great library for it.  Even then, a new baby goes through an asston of diapers...and that depletes the game fund for even the one console  =(

Finally...there just isnt enough time in the day.  TBH, I don't even need a huge library of games for the console I have because there wouldn't be the time to play them all anyways.
