A thing to note about Bionic Commando and Punch-Out, these are both remakes of NES titles, which wasn't that big of a console in the UK (Master System was more popular), so there isn't very much brand recognition for these games at all in the UK.
Usually UK is a pretty good indicator on how well games will do in the US, but that probably isn't the case for these two games where NES was massive in US.
