| sapient said: I have to disagree with most posters that say PSP software is crap compared to DSi. I would say MOST DS software is shovelware. Biggest selling games for DS are the ones aimed at little girls (imagine brand, cooking mama etc.) , children (nintendogs, petz, etc.) or older people (brain games). |
Do you really own a DS? You seem to know nothing about it.
You put it to sleep by flipping it closed. There aren't "dual control schemes" on DS games like there are on some Wii games. Games that use the touchscreen always use it. There is very little that plays better without it, and a lot that plays much better with it (Zelda, The World Ends With You, Elite Beat Agents, Canvas Curse, any shooter, etc.).
For someone with an (admittedly very bad) JRPG in their avatar to complain about the core games on the DS versus the PSP is laughable. The amount of great core DS games trumps the game library of every system in existence. While there are absolutely great games on the PSP that rival the best on the DS, the tradeoff is like 1 great PSP game per 4 or 5 great DS games. It's not even close.
There are 2 genres I agree that the PSP has an advantage in. Racing and shooting. Racing it controls better and has more games. Shooting it just has more games, but controls much worse.
Any other genre I can name you at least 3 great DS games for every PSP game. I use my PSP signifficantly more than my DS, but for its media functions and as an anime player. In games this is not even a reasonable discussion. It's like a giant joke.
