I was going to come in and argue that due too their monumental sales Nintendo doesn't have as much to prove as Sony, even with their abysmal effort last E3.
But Dodece's long-term argument actually makes a lot of sense. The Wii DOES only exist because the core carried Nintendo through the N64 and Gamecube eras (I know, I was one of them). But as I said earlier, one game for the core will stop them being an embarrassment. But they'll need more to win E3.
