Yes, the Xbox 360 uses DirectX 10 programming; it's Microsoft's own tool for developing games. DirectX 11 is coming out on the second Service Pack for Vista and it's already included in the Windows 7 Beta and RC and will also be in the final version of Windows 7.

you do know that having the capability to use dx10 is also an hardware issue too right??....not just a firmware or software or coding....if just an upgrade(you probably meant update) was required...then alot of PC video cards would be dx10 capable as well..but that's not true...u need to buy another dx10 capable vid card to make dx10 work
which means xbox360 would need a new video card to handle dx10.....the xbox360 doesn't have a new video since launch...
