Xbox can't win ... Nintendo and Sony will always be there. If not PlayCube can be a solid competition for MS.
MS will be to early and to late to introduce another console.
If they introduce a console to early they will miss out on games and kill their brand, cuz no one will be interrested in spending money on a console that has a short lifespan. No devs wants to learn an d understand a console if they already have a console with an uber user base.
If they come with another console they may also come to late. Sony feels the market and understands the market. They have technology that's 10 year old but it will take 10 years time before you see it.
Sony's strategy is a long term strategy. Why...because they are like every company.
R&D>make huge profit >as long as you can> then release something new before the old fire dies out
PS3 is a beast with many capabilities......and it's worth 600euro......400euro is cheap(but you get 2usbports instread of 4 and no memcard reader.....ohhhhh my...you have a HD to save your games..so don't worry if you are a gamer it is not a must have).
Somebody talked about killing BD and HD-dvd...not going to happen. Sony is a publisher of movies, MS is not.
So if tech is available don't you think Sony will be pushing their own technology before they push a alien technology out.
