No, the PS3 is more powerful. The problem is that the difference in the games isn't so large.
Nintendo was kinda correct in saying that graphics have reached a plateau; though there's a pretty big difference between Wii and PS3/360 games. However, the difference between the games on PS3 and 360 won't be very significant. You can say that Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 both look better than anything the 360 can produce, but will any of that really matter in the end?
Both systems will produce some good looking games that only enthusiasts will be able to nitpick to death. The difference, again, isn't so great and is probably comparable to the PS2-Xbox gap.
