Just to be clear Ron Paul has stated he WON'T dismantle the IRS, the Department of Education, and such. He agrees that it would cause chaos if it was done hastily, plus the President doesn't have the power to do that in the first place.

However, he would encourage and help take steps to reform the executive branch and all these massive departments sprouting out of it (like the Dep. of Homeland security).

There is a difference between "wanting" something gone and actually calling for it to be gone :)

Some of the big MSM outlets have tried to paint Ron Paul as some sort of fringe canidate, but in reality his viewpoints are very much those of the real "Republican" party. I'm a Libertarian, but I've reregistered as a Republican just to help get Ron Paul into office.

The Republicans can't lose if they run Ron Paul, but a canidate like Guliani is destined to fail.
