I'm a Muslim, however, I don't fast. I only follow one passage in the entire Qur'an as I see it as the only real rule God wants us to follow. Bold parts are most important.
"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in The God and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve." Q-002.062
Basically, it doesn't matter what you call yourself. Believe in God and be good to everyone. Its just that simple.
