Konami doesn't need more money. They aren't greedy like EA.
That is like saying I don't need a raise, I'm not greedy like my co-workers. The overall goal of every company is to increase revenue. You have to assume that they will make it for PS3 because the expense of the engine has already been done because of MGS4. So MGS5 will cost about half the price to develop (assume about $20 Million) to port that to 360 it would increase the cost by very little (no more then $5M - $10 Million). So if you were to be conservative and assume that MGS5 will sell at least 1.5 Million copies on the 360 (assume that the primary MGS audience is on PS3 and it sells half the copies on 360 compared to PS3). 1.5 Million copies multiplied by $60 = $90 Million in additional revenue for increasing costs by less than $10 Million (for extra development cost)
Now show me a company that doesn't want to earn $80 Million in a slow economy for little increased expense. It's not greed its called smart management. And remember these are very conservative numbers.
If Sony or MS want this game exclusive they will have to pony up about $100 Million to secure exclusivity because of the potential lost revenue from going multiplatform.
