lol, this is NOT a problem, its a (very good) design choice made by Bioware.

Mass Effect has a "film grain" filter. Just like in the movie "300".
They added this graphical noise by purpose.

This makes the experience more rich, realistic, just like a real movie.

I love it.

I played a few minutes without the filter (you can choose your filter in the options) and I went back to the film grain filter, it is much better. Stronger atmosphere, difficult to describe, I'm just happy it doesn't look like a typical 3D game with shinny plastic surfaces.

Thanks Bioware, you're the best!

THEY BETTER KEEP THIS FEATURE IN MASS EFFECT 2!!!  Or else, I'm gonna cry in a dark corner... :)


So, short answer:

1- Everything is OK in your living room.
2- Mass Effect is unique.
