If you like Silent Hill 2 you will love fatal frames 1, 2, and 3. They are a totally different style of horror (more ghost story than purgatory), but they're equally suspensful and atmospheric.
Plus the combat is more fun than in Silent Hill because the camera mechanic is genius. It basically acts like a gun (aim and shoot), but what makes it so great is the further away the enemies are when you shoot them the less points for upgrading the camera. So you have to wait until they are right on you to get max points, thus increasing your chance of getting hit and making it suspenseful as hell.
Also give the latest Siren a go if you have a PS3.
