I hate to say this, and I hope CGI doesnt crucify me for this either, but for the lack of a better term yes it is an interactive movie.  But I think that is only because of the emphasis that they put on the story, on how it can evolve and change through those interactions

have you played indigo prophecy?  I imagine this game will be a lot like that game, except without the crappy hit the right color minigames durring the cutscenes.  It's really all about the story and how you can interact and change different plot lines.

Supposedly, in heavy rain, you could make it to the end of the game with all the main characters dead.  Just because a character dies doesn't mean the story doesn't end.  Just like real life, everything keeps moving forward.  It's going to be awesome!
