I totally agree with original poster. Definitely it's easier to sell PS3 to PS2 owner than to Xbox gamer (PS3? - no Halo? WTF) or GC fan. Even if only 20% of all PS2's work it's still a huge figure. No need to seek for new markets - they just have to keep part of former userbase. It remainds me about one of the biggest supporters of "Sony have to get rid of PS2" idea on this site - you do know this guy too - ioi himself. This is a big chance for Sony to boost sale.
