Has anyone ever tried a long-distance relationship?

I've tried it twice. And I've come to the conclusion that it almost never works. I've seen at least 10 other relationships from friends try it too, and only one has made it, and it was a year.

For my two relationships, one lasted 3 months, the other about 6 months of long distance. I was willing to go the distance, but another common factor I see is that it is usually the girls that break it off. Maybe its a maturity issue, or something else.

Take what you will, but I will never do long distance out of wedlock ever again, unless its not really long distance as opposed to 2 hours or so away. Just for reference, the first one was Las Vegas to Japan, and the second one was Tallahassee, FL to Reno, Nevada, so it was LONG distance.
